TRL Handmade Furniture wins Start up of the Year Award!!!
TRL Handmade Furniture was nominated for 2 start up of the year awards and came away a winner at the Midlands awards ceremony held in Birmingham on May 18th 2023
At the start of 2023 TRL Handmade Furniture were lucky and fortunate enough to be nominated for TWO National Start up of the Year Awards in the ‘Manufacturing’ and ‘Rural’ start up categories with the award ceremony to be held in Birmingham on May 18th.
Founder and Director, Tim Lawson said
“It was an honour to be nominated for one award and very humbling to be nominated for two! When the company was set up in July 2022 we had a clear mission and that was to make a varied range of beautiful handmade furniture at reasonable prices, consistently and sustainably whilst using and supporting local independent businesses for our raw materials”
The evening of the awards saw us WIN the Rural Start up of the year award, which was awarded to us for setting up a business and creating jobs outside of a city centre, amongst other factors that the judging panel had to consider.
Tim continued to say
“Hearing our name being called out was very surreal however it was amazing to receive the award. It couldn’t have been possible without a very talented and dedicated team around me who strive to get the job done to ensure we have happy customers. It is an absolute honour to be recognised for all the hard work the team puts in.
We have worked relentlessly over the past 2 years to get to where we are now and I would like to thank the whole wider TRL Team from the supply chain that we work with, our clients up and down the country and our wholesale clients too who have put a lot of faith in us to work with them and their needs. It has been quite a journey so far!!
